Cath Kidston Wonderland Collection - Review

Image
Cath Kidston has only increased its popularity with each Disney collaboration they’ve done. From Mickey and Friends, Winnie the Pooh, Neverland and 101 Dalmatians – they’ve produced so many spectacular Disney items. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my hands on any of the pieces that I wanted from previous collections, so when the Alice in Wonderland Collaboration was announced; I made it my mission to make sure I got at least one piece from this stunning collection. So, as last Thursday rolled around, I had my phone ready and popped the password in as soon as it hit 7pm. As I browsed through the pages of beautiful items available (some of which Cath Kidston had already teased us with), I was making a mental list of practically every item listed; from the wonderfully designed umbrella to the stunning denim jacket. However, I could also hear my bank account screaming at me so I instead settled on getting three of the items from everything I wanted. Disney homeware is something I’m a

5 Things I'm Looking Forward To From DLP's InsidEars Announcements

If you’re anything like me – you’re probably still reeling with excitement from the announcements that came from last Friday’s InsidEars at Disneyland Paris. The event left us enthusiasts with lots to look forward to. As difficult as it’s going to be; I’m going to narrow it down and list off five of the things that I’m looking forward to. Marvel Themed Food for Summer of Superheroes On the 10 th of June, Disneyland Paris will welcome a new season of all things Marvel, offering various packages and shows alike, and personally I am so excited to see everything that this season will have to offer us. Something else we can all agree that we enjoy is Themed Food, and the treats and souvenirs (Infinity Gauntlet anyone??) that appear to be on offer during this season leaves me excited and my bank account crying. From Groot Cookies to Spiderman Macaroons – I’m sure there will be plenty of themed food to leave everyone’s taste-buds satisfied. Phantom Manor Themed Halloween Float

Why Representation In Disney Is Important

Representation is defined as ‘the depiction of someone or something in a work of art’ and it can cover representation of any of the following: LGBT+, POC, female and disabilities. The list is endless because, naturally, everyone is different, so a wide range of representation is essential. Stereotypically, Disney films will focus on white, CIS, straight, able-bodied females or males. Obviously, this isn’t always the case and whilst Disney’s representation is slowly but surely improving; I’m going to share five reasons why I think representation in Disney is important. Creates Role Models for Everyone Being someone who grew up belonging to minorities; I know the importance of having role models of all genders, sexualities, races and abilities. As I’ve previously discussed, Disney is for everyone and by that logic – everyone should have characters they can relate to. Characters that children can look at and smile because they’re the same skin colour/culture as them. Characters th

5 Reasons Why DLP Should Bring Back Pirates and Princesses

This Spring, Disneyland Paris welcomed a brand new festival to our beautiful home: Pirates and Princesses. There was a lot of speculation surrounding what the festival would entail when it was first announced and Disney fans eagerly awaited the start of the season. I was in Disneyland Paris Sunday evening, Monday and Tuesday morning so I finally got to experience the hype surrounding this festival. Sadly, this season is leaving us at the end of May so I’m going to share with you 5 reasons why I think DLP should bring back this spectacular festival in the future. Make Your Choice With memorable dance moves, dazzling costumes and an amazing catchy song to boot – its no surprise that this Parade is definitely my top reason for wanting the Pirates and Princesses season back. Choose your side as Team Pirates and Team Princesses go head to head; showing off their dance moves, all led by Jimmy Ocean and Betty Rose respectively. The Parade is packed with vibrant colours and immersive-n

5 Things Disney Park Goers Are Sick of Hearing

Being a frequent visitor to a Disney Park means you’re often met with a lot of the same comments from people about how often you go, money, etc etc. If you’re anything like me then you’ll be sick of hearing the same old thing, so I’ve compiled a list of the five things that all Disney Park goers are fed up of hearing… How do you afford to go to Disney all the time?? I think a misconception a lot of people have of Disney goers is that each time we go; we stay in the most expensive hotel, have the most expensive of foods and buy everything we can get our hands on. However, this is not the case at all. Firstly, being an annual pass holder already means I’m already saving money on park entry. Secondly, every DLP trip I do, I always stay at the Ibis Budget. You can read more about how I do Disney on a Budget here but the point is – Disney can be done without breaking the bank. At the end of the day, a person’s money is their money. It’s nobody else’s business as to how they spend i
