Blogmas 2019: Day Thirteen - Four Gifts To Buy Yourself At Christmas
One thing we all love to do at Christmas is giving. Whether
that’s buying presents for your kids or a loved one or taking part in a Secret Santa
– gift giving is a big thing in our society at Christmas time. But don’t forget
that you deserve a gift at Christmas too – so here’s some ideas for what you
can buy for yourself during December – that won’t cost you too much money.
Fluffy Socks
There’s something about receiving socks as a present when
you’re an adult. You just appreciate them a whole lot more than you ever did as
a child, and it’s even better when they’re fluffy socks and you can appreciate
them even more when it’s particularly cold. They’re quite cheap as well so why
not pop to Primark (they always have a great selection of fluffy socks and
normal socks) and treat yourself to a pair of new socks to wear when you’re
snuggled up on a Christmassy day.
Pyjamas
You can never have too many pyjamas, right? That’s my
mentality anyway. Plus you can never go wrong with buying pyjamas for yourself because
who knows what style, fit, colour, design etc you like better than yourself?
Obviously, they’re pricier than the socks but if you have that bit of money to
be able to treat yourself – you should definitely buy yourself some Christmas
themed (or normal) pyjamas to go along with your fluffy socks.
Chocolate
Chocolate always helps and whether that’s to help you
through the stress of the festive season or to help you eat your feels whilst
watching an emotional Christmas film – chocolate the best thing to go to. The
selection seems even wider and better at Christmas time and Lord knows that I’ve
treated myself to a box (or two…) of Lindt chocolates this December. But what
says Christmas more than Lindt?
Candles
I’m probably a firefighter’s worst nightmare because I
honestly love collecting candles and having them all lit at once…sorry
about that. But seriously, it’s the best way to self-care. You light some
scented candles (Christmas Cookie is the best) and get into a warm bath at the
end of a busy December day. You’re practicing self-care by destressing in the
bath and the candles help you relax even more. They’re readily available at
quite a lot of shops these days, especially during Christmas so be sure to pick
yourself one (or two or three) up.
Do you have any presents you like to buy yourself during
Christmas? Let me know!
