Character meets and breakfast food? That’s a winning combination, right? Well, it was for me anyway and that’s how Plaza Gardens in Disneyland Paris won me over. I’d heard a lot of mixed reviews about the Character Breakfast at Plaza Gardens, so on the last day of our most recent trip, we decided to try it out ourselves. Similar to our experiences at the buffet style dining at Agrabah, you pay as soon as you get to the restaurant and once you’re seated at your table, you’re free to roam the restaurant to get as much food as you could possibly eat. A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down but it definitely wasn’t needed to help the delicious treats at the Aqua Shard’s Mary Poppins Afternoon Tea go down. Yesterday, my girlfriend and I were lucky enough to have a date night spent on the 31 st floor of The Shard, sipping on ‘Mary’s Tea’, taking in the sweet smell of candy floss being churned and indulging on savoury and sweet treats alike! The Afternoon Tea is available as an homage to P.L Travers books and puts a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious twist on the classic British Afternoon Tea; offering up a selection of tasty sandwiches ranging from a crab and cucumber brioche to Mary’s favourite; crumpets which was served with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Friday the 13 th is generally known for its bad luck, and though it was made worse for the UK because Donald Trump was visiting, it also marked the release day of The Incredibles 2. To say this was a highly anticipated “grown ups pushing kids out of the way” esque release would be an understatement. We waited fourteen years and finally the day arrived (roughly a month after the American release, annoyingly) that we were to be reunited with the Parr family where they’d left off in The Incredibles. As with any sequel, there’s always the worries of whether it will live up to the first film or whether it would be overkill. However, Disney/Pixar did not disappoint with this explosive sequel. Post Disney Blues is something I’m sure we’re all familiar with. That feeling you get just after you’ve left the magic bubble; sort of displaced and not knowing what to do with yourself. It’s the realisation that your day won’t consist of skipping down Main Street, with the fresh sweet smell that comes from the surrounding eateries and shops and soaking in the magic whilst figuring out whether you’ll queue to meet Donald Duck or go to nab a fast pass for your favourite ride. Sunday 17 th June marked mine and my girlfriend’s 5 year anniversary, so in keeping with the tradition of the past two years; we went to Disneyland Paris for the weekend. 2018 has already seen the release of lots of exciting and record-breaking releases, from Black Panther to Avengers: Infinity War and A Wrinkle In Time. Considering we’re already halfway through the year, you’d think Disney would be done with the big releases but that is far from the case. Here are four major titles that are being released this year that I am excited for. The Incredibles 2 We’ve waited fourteen years but finally, we get to join Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash, Jack-Jack, Edna Mode and Frozone on a new adventure; with the introduction of new characters (personally I am so excited for Sophia Bush’s character – Voyd). It’s widely known that Pixar can produce good sequels (Just take a look at the Toy Story franchise) so I’m excited to see what they’ve got in store for this incredible family. Cath Kidston has only increased its popularity with each Disney collaboration they’ve done. From Mickey and Friends, Winnie the Pooh, Neverland and 101 Dalmatians – they’ve produced so many spectacular Disney items. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my hands on any of the pieces that I wanted from previous collections, so when the Alice in Wonderland Collaboration was announced; I made it my mission to make sure I got at least one piece from this stunning collection. So, as last Thursday rolled around, I had my phone ready and popped the password in as soon as it hit 7pm.
