Plaza Gardens Character Breakfast - Review

Character meets and breakfast food? That’s a winning combination, right? Well, it was for me anyway and that’s how Plaza Gardens in Disneyland Paris won me over.

I’d heard a lot of mixed reviews about the Character Breakfast at Plaza Gardens, so on the last day of our most recent trip, we decided to try it out ourselves.

Similar to our experiences at the buffet style dining at Agrabah, you pay as soon as you get to the restaurant and once you’re seated at your table, you’re free to roam the restaurant to get as much food as you could possibly eat. Challenge accepted.

Food
As I said, it’s breakfast food so you can’t really go wrong, can you? From scrambled eggs, beans, bacon and sausages to pastries, pancakes and waffles galore; you are definitely not short for choice on what to have. As it’s a buffet, you could be completely tactful and try different things each time you refill your plate, or you could completely love the scrambled eggs and just get that both times you go up, like we did…
If you’re not overly hot on a big breakfast, you could always go for the option of toast, cereal, fruits, fresh juices or head on over to the hot drink maker.

Characters
So, if you know me, you’ll know that I absolutely adore character meets and as I’m fairly new to character dining (Inventions being my first experience), I was still quite nervous about how the whole experience would go and whether or not I’d have a mouthful of toast as a character approached me. Thankfully, I didn’t have to worry about that and I got my moment with all the characters (Mickey, Daisy, Pluto, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet). The characters take their time to come over to each table (with three taking one half of the restaurant and three taking the other half and then swapping over to ensure everyone got their chance) and pose for photos and personally, it was particularly special for me getting to finally meet Piglet who is my favourite of the 100 Acre Wood gang.

If you’re a fan of Character Dining experiences or even if you just want to try something that you don’t normally do, then I would highly recommend trying Plaza Gardens for yourself and forming your own opinion on it!
