Blogmas 2019 - Day Seven: Five Instagrammable Christmas Spots In London
Happy Saturday and welcome to day seven on Blogmas! Can you
believe it’s already been seven days of December? Time really is flying by. For
today’s post, I thought I would share with you guys a few photographable Christmas
themed spots in London.
Tiffany & Co. Winter Wonderland and Ice Rink
As if Covent Garden wasn’t already magical enough during
Christmas time! This year, Covent Garden’s Piazza has been transformed into a
Central Park inspired wintry spot. Sparkly snow, oversized blue boxes, a snow
globe and a unique ice rink all adorn the Piazza and help to transform it into
the most magical Christmas themed experience. Even if you don’t want to go ice
skating, the area is still perfect for capturing those dazzling snaps and putting
you in the festive mood.
Pink Christmas Tree – Elan Café
If you know me at all, you know how obsessed I am with pink
so obviously I had to get photos with the gorgeous pink Christmas Tree that
Elan have in their Knightsbridge branch. In keeping with their pink theming,
the tree fits in perfectly and definitely makes the ideal photo opportunity for
people – like me – who love Christmas and love all things pink. Elan also serve
delicious food so you can grab a sweet or savoury snack as well as snapping
your pink picture.
Trafalgar Square
Is there anything more iconic than getting a photo with the
Christmas Tree that takes pride of place in London’s infamous Trafalgar Square
every year? Well, they’ve gone and made it even more iconic this year by
adding Christmas markets! It sounds like the perfect dreamy Christmas trip doesn’t
it? I’m yet to visit but it’s definitely on my list for a date evening with
Jade. You can take a wander through the markets and then get a cute photo with
the famous Christmas Tree.
Classic and Alternative Christmas Trees
It is, of course, iconic and a ‘must be done’ to get photos
in front of Christmas Trees during the season. There are so many places around
London where you can get photos with magical trees. Covent Garden, for
instance, has their main Christmas tree so you can ensure you get that classic
shot with their magnificent tree. As well as this, they also have a wonderland
assortment of trees where you can get a photo with multiple Christmas Trees. As
well as this, many establishments transform the front of their buildings to
look like Christmas Trees (Maddox Gallery and Annabel’s in Mayfair are prime
examples of this). Additionally, Tower Bridge is home to a Christmas Tree made
of lights for another “alternative” shot.
Regent Street Lights
What better way to have a break from your Christmas shopping
then to get a photo with the Regent Street Angel lights? The street is adorned
with the Christmas lights making your shopping experience even more magical and
giving you the perfect excuse to take a quick break from the shopping to snap a
photo or two in front of the lights.
These are obviously just a few of the Instagrammable Christmas
spots that London has to offer and let’s face it – the whole city transforms
into a Winter Wonderland during the season so there’s plenty of other places
that aren’t on my list. Have you taken photos at any of the places I mentioned?
Let me know!
